A study on feasibility of ASD early diagnosis tool based on smart platform

Abstract
This study was conducted to confirm the reliability and validity of a smart platform-based ASD early diagnosis tool. Accordingly, 564 children with ASD attending daycare centers, special schools, and special classes in Seoul, Busan, Ulsan, and Daegu were tested. The reliability and validity of the developed ASD early diagnosis tool were verified by calculating Cronbach's ¥á value and analyzing construct validity and differences among groups, respectively. First, the range of the reliability coefficient for each area of ??the ASD early diagnosis tool was found to be .744?.973, indicating that a stable reliability coefficient was secured. Second, the sub-correlation coefficient for each area of ??the ASD early diagnosis tool was .335?.918, implying a positive correlation among each area, and all correlations were significant, indicating appropriate validity. Third, in the group difference analysis result, the groups with low and high support needs were classified, and the five groups with different support needs differed in the subscale standard, subscale subtotal standard, and composite standard (total evaluation) scores. This study was significant in developing an efficient and convenient ASD early diagnosis tool because it established the reliability and validity of the smart platform-based ASD diagnosis tool.
